Jump Into July with ASAS New Jersey

Family Fun Day

After-School All-Stars and Programs for Parents/ECCYC are excited to host a Family Fun Day Skating at Branch Brook Park on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

Registration is limited to the first 100 people. All registered children must be accompanied by their guardians. Pizza & Soft Drinks will be served and we are looking forward to seeing you!

Mental Health First Aid Training

In Late June, our staff participated in a mental health first aid training. The interactive course provided our staff with valuable insight as we continue to serve the ever-evolving needs of our scholars and communities. At the conclusion of the session, all attendees received a Mental Health First Aid certification.

We look forward to seeing everyone’s skills in action!

OST Think Tank

The United Way of Great Newark and Newark Thrives hosted an Out of School Time System Building meeting, bringing local organizations together to discuss the future of after-school and summer programming for Newark students. We would like to thank Newark Thrives for gifting our team with a beautiful basket!

Summertime Enrichment

ASAS New Jersey is serving students in the Summer! In addition to serving 19 sites and 2000+ students during the school year, we are serving 5 sites and 1000+ students currently in the summer months.

We kicked things off with bootcamp! For two weeks, we conducted training with our staff that was full of activities and team building. Our National Professional Development and Training Manager, Tori Schwarzlose, joined us during training as well. At the conclusion of bootcamp, our staff enjoyed a day at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

After bootcamp, we welcomed our summer scholars as enrichment is now underway. As we continue to support our scholars, we encourage you to make a charitable donation today.
