The New Jersey Chapter of After-School All-Stars is delighted to announce Dr. Naima Ricks as our next Executive Director.
With the elevation of our former Executive Director Nicole Harris to Regional Executive Director last year, a national search was conducted to find the next leader for the chapter. After months of extensive interviews and searching, Dr. Ricks was selected to lead the New Jersey team and its 19 sites throughout Newark. Effective today, Dr. Ricks will assume the role of Executive Director as we continue to provide comprehensive afterschool programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and life. “We are very excited to have Naima take on the ED role and are looking forward to working with her and the team to build on Nicole’s success and drive the NJ chapter forward.” - ASAS NJ Board Chair, Tim Hepplewhite
Nicole Harris, ASAS Regional Executive Director, will continue to support the New Jersey chapter of ASAS through this transition, in addition to supporting her other ASAS chapters including New York, Philadelphia, and Puget Sound. “I am delighted to work with Naima as she assumes the role of Executive Director for ASAS NJ. Naima’s programmatic experience coupled with her passion for youth development is exactly what the New Jersey chapter needs to continue its ascent to incredible heights.”
