Program Leader:
Enrichment Instructor

(ES-MS)

(Part-Time | Newark, NJ)

We are seeking skilled and passionate enrichment instructors to join our team to develop and deliver engaging, innovative programs for our scholars. 

INSTRUCTORS NEEDED FOR

  • STEM/ WEIRD SCIENCE

 

Ideal candidates have expertise and experience in a hands-on skill area, classroom management & instruction, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.

SCs supervise 3-12 person after-school instructional teams and are eager to design and coordinate positive youth & staff team experiences.

Jr. Program Leader:

High School Intern/ Volunteer

Jr. Program Leaders support program staff while helping to deliver engaging experiences for our scholars. Ideal candidates can commit to a 3-5 day work schedule, interest in a career in youth development or education, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.  

Ideal Candidates

Are highly skilled and have formal classroom experience, a passion for working with inner-city youth, and 1+ year of instructional or related youth development experience.

General Qualifications

  • Eligible to work in the USA with children; clear fingerprinting, background, and Tuberculosis checks

  • Some post-secondary undergraduate or technical career study

  • Available to work the assigned work schedule without conflict

  • Experience with children in large group instructional, coaching, or camp settings

  • Love working with children; connection/passion for mentoring Newark/Paterson/inner-city youth

  • Strong classroom and group management skills

  • Excellent proactive planning, and organizational skills 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with district, program, parents, and community leaders

  • Effective communication with sensitivity to others and swift response to critically urgent incidents

  • Ability to professionally and positively give and receive feedback, implementing necessary changes

  • Compliance with the company, site, and/or school district/network policies protocols
